Community Profiles: Portsmouth Music and Arts Center
We at The Toast love to be in the middle of talented people. The Portsmouth community is bustling with creative people and projects, and that’s no accident. Portsmouth has always done its best to take care of creative folk with numerous performance venues, events, galleries, and organizations dedicated to supporting the arts. Portsmouth Music and Art’s center is one of the organizations at the front of that effort.
Portsmouth Music and Art’s center is a non-profit dedicated to fostering a community for the arts by providing instruction in music and visual art to everybody regardless of their age, level or experience, or economic status. Since their founding in 2002, more than 1000 students have passed through PMAC. Whether you are looking for casual piano lessons, or want to make the arts your life, PMAC wants to help you get the education you need to get started.
Being a non-profit, they need your support to fill their mission. On Friday April 4th they will be hosting Spring Fever for the Arts, a night of food and music supporting their educational goals. Food by Margaritas, music by a host of local musicians and students. All proceeds go right back into educating local artists and musicians.
Tickets are $50 before April 1st and $60 after. Tickets here. Please help support this amazing organization.
